Privacy Policy

MarryPrep (“we”, “us”) provides a wedding-planning website and mobile app where couples plan their wedding and wedding professionals present their services. For questions about your data, write to the contact address at the bottom of this page.

Account data: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a salted hash), your role (couple or vendor) and your language.

Wedding data you enter: date, city, budget, style preferences, tasks, budget items, guest names and contact details, RSVP replies, seating, timeline entries and the content of your wedding website.

Vendor data: business name, description, city, categories, packages, prices, images, and the messages, requests, proposals, bookings and reviews exchanged through the platform.

Technical data: your IP address and basic request information, used to keep the service secure, to limit abuse and to diagnose errors.

To run the service you asked for: creating your plan, sending invitations, delivering messages and showing vendor profiles.

To keep the service safe: signing you in, detecting abuse, preventing spam and fixing errors.

To send emails that the service needs: verifying your address, resetting a password, sign-in links and notifications about your bookings and messages. We do not send advertising.

When you add guests, you decide what to store and who to invite. You are responsible for having a reason to contact them. We process that data on your behalf, only to provide the guest list, invitations and RSVP pages, and we do not use it for anything else.

Vendors you contact: when you send a request or message, the vendor sees your name and what you wrote.

Service providers that help us run MarryPrep, such as our hosting provider, our email delivery provider and our error-monitoring provider. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.

Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data.

We use your browser’s storage for strictly necessary things: keeping you signed in and remembering your language. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We keep your data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data, except what we must keep by law or to resolve a dispute. Backups are overwritten on a regular schedule.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Write to us and we will answer within one month.

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you as the law requires.

MarryPrep is meant for adults planning a wedding. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
